The Geneva Charter for Well-being, sets out the main principles of a wellbeing society and calls on health promotion to play a key role in promoting and supporting the wellbeing movement. This editorial explores the Charter's opportunities for public health at local and global levels, and looks at the way forward for the wellbeing agenda.
