This report presents the voices and child abuse experiences of young girls in Australia, detailing their experiences of abuse within the home, and the impacts of family violence on their lives.

This report card shows the challenges women and girls in Australia face through youth and young adulthood, in careers and working life, through parenthood and families, and in later life. It looks at education, economic outcomes, health, safety and wellbeing, housing and gender norms.

Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are at very high risk of violence, but there is little evidence about the age at which their higher exposure to violence commences. The aim of this study was to investigate violence inflicted on Aboriginal girls during childhood and adolescence, relative to Aboriginal boys and non-Aboriginal girls.

This report examines courts data for cases involving women and girls sentenced in Queensland between 2005-06 and 2018-19. It examines trends and patterns in the sentencing of women and girls, and provides insight into factors that contribute to women and girls becoming involved in the Queensland criminal justice system.

This research examines changes in the prevalence of six key chronic disease risk factors (the 'Big 6'), from before (2019) to during (2021) the COVID-19 pandemic, among a large and geographically diverse sample of adolescents, and whether differences over time are associated with lockdown status and gender.
