Calculation of policy-relevant spatial indicators of urban liveability: experiences of scaling a research programme from local to global
A pilot project, which focused on Melbourne in 2012, developed an initial workflow to calculate address-level liveability measures. This paper reviews methodological challenges encountered in the scaling up of this 5-year collaborative research program.

This report is the second yearly review of the current Five-Year Implementation Plan. It details the status of each of the 113 actions as they stood in 2019. Collectively the actions are aimed at boosting connectivity and sustainability within Melbourne and dealing with the prospect of large future population growth.

Dense, urban and walkable: the lived experience of apartment dwellers in post-suburban Sydney
Urban density is commonly identified as factor that contributes to active transport, including walking, across all age groups. While a significant body of literature explores the factors that influence the likelihood of walking for commuting, leisure and or strolling, the experiences of residents in rapidly densifying outer suburbs have been much less well considered.

The government is consulting on a proposal to create a new National Policy Statement on Urban Development (NPS-UD). This discussion document sets out the policy proposals, sample text for how they might be reflected in a national policy statement, and the rationale behind them.

Liveability real estate framework training and professional development – final report
This project, RP3039, sought to adapt the existing Liveability Real Estate Framework to develop an online “real estate knowledge” handbook for ‘moderators’ of the website developed in CRCLCL project RP3029e1 and an online Liveability Real Estate Specialist training course suitable for TAFE Sydney Students studying for qualifications in property services (real estate).
