This submission contends that Australia is the only liberal democracy in the world with no national human rights protection mechanism. The submission supports the introduction of a federal Human Rights Act for Australia and provides recommendations and case studies that specifically support an Act to protect older people.

This report discusses the nature and scale of consumer vulnerability in the digital age, including its evolving conceptualisation, the role of emerging digital trends, and the legal and regulatory measures available for consumer policy in different jurisdictions.
