This report calls for significant change to the way communities are engaged in climate adaptation planning. With climate change reshaping lives, culture, and public health in profound ways, this issue has never been more urgent.

This research explores climate change adaptation practices, strategies and policies implemented internationally that could be adopted to support the sustainable development of cities and towns across Australia.

This report summarises the findings of a collaboration between Lancaster University, the Climate Coalition and the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations.
