This paper is the first to characterise cultural adaptation strategies used in health interventions with a nutrition component for Indigenous peoples. While the majority used multiple cultural adaptation strategies, few focused on involving Indigenous constituents at a deep level.

It outlines a practical model for remote Indigenous communities that harnesses the fundamental principle of supply and demand, and what the authors identify as the three foundations of business creation — capability, entrepreneurship and business support.
