National adaptation plan and emissions reduction plan: Resource Management Act 1991 guidance note


From 30 November 2022, it becomes a legal requirement for local government to ‘have regard to’ the national adaptation plan and the emissions reduction plan when preparing or changing Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) regional policy statements, regional plans, and district plans. This guidance note has been prepared to help local government meet this requirement.
