It positions the issue as not only a matter for education policy and practice, but one requiring systemic reform, emphasising inequitable system design over individual behaviour.

Managing funding from the mental health levy


The report assesses whether Queensland’s mental health levy is effectively managed across the mental health, alcohol and other drugs system to achieve its intended purposes. It finds that the levy is not effectively managed as a whole. This is because effective governance arrangements for the levy were not established when it was introduced.

Rental affordability snapshot: Southern Queensland 2026


This snapshot highlights the lived experience of those on low incomes in southern Queensland, trying to find a home that is both affordable and appropriate. The findings continue to expose an alarming trend in the private rental market. It found there were no affordable and appropriate rental properties for households on income support with children.

This report presents these results, providing insight into Australians, their nature super star and climate threats.

Just, clear and modern: reformed criminal defences for Queensland


A final report on the review of criminal defences in the Criminal Code in Queensland. It examined self-defence, provocation to assault, killing on provocation, killing for preservation in an abusive domestic relationship and domestic discipline. It also considered reforms to practices or procedures relating to those defences or excuses. The report makes 36 recommendations.
