Parent, peer and school connections may help reduce suicide risk for young Australians
This snapshot discusses suicidal thoughts and behaviours in adolescence. This research highlights that, among young Australians, positive relationships with parents and peers and school connections during adolescence are associated with the reduced likelihood of suicidal thoughts and behaviours during early adulthood. Collectively, the evidence supports a cross-portfolio, prevention-focused approach to reduce risk.

Mapping the digital gap: Gäṉgaṉ NT 2026 community update report
Gäṉgaṉ Homeland is a remote inland community in East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. This update report assists understanding of the barriers to digital inclusion in the community. It presents research findings to date, compares survey results from 2022 to 2024, and outlines changes in communications and media services and usage during and since visits.

Walking together: collaborative pathways to holistic family wellbeing
The forum brought together Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, community members, policy leaders, researchers and government representatives to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships and shape the direction of reform across the New South Wales child and family sector. It combined policy updates, lived experience, place-based practice and strategic discussion in ways that reflected the work underway.
