Description
Children’s exposure to media during their early years can have long-term implications for their cognitive development and future media use. While new forms of media become available at an increasing rate, television remains the most used. The ‘Young children and the Media’ project aims to provide parents/carers with information and resources to help them make informed choices to ensure that their young child’s media experience is a positive one. This includes information on the effects of media on young children aged between 2 and 8 and what type of content is developmentally appropriate for children.
