This paper sets out the government's position on many of the recommendations made by the Corporations and Markets Advisory Committee with regard to insider trading. It also seeks views and information on certain issues it considers deserving of additional consideration. Comments are particularly sought on the appropriate ambit of the prohibition on insider trading.
