Agreements lodged in the June quarter delivered a modest wage increase of 3.9 per cent to Australian employees, according to this report.

Across the private sector an increase of 4 per cent was recorded in the June quarter and in the public sector wages increased by 3.9 per cent on average. The overall increase of 3.9 per cent in wages across the economy is a drop from 4.6 per cent recorded in the March quarter.

The report also shows that there were 5467 agreements lodged in the June quarter in 2009.
