Description

This report highlights the entrepreneurial spirit and a strong commitment to education and volunteerism brought to Australia by the 740,000 refugee and humanitarian migrants settled since Federation.

Researched and compiled by RCOA for the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, the report examines the findings of 177 Australian and international research reports and articles. The 90-page report looks at the benefits of Australia’s Refugee and Humanitarian Program, labour force and economic outcomes for former refugees, voluntary work among refugee communities, their contributions to Australian society and the educational and employment outcomes of their Australian-born children.
