Description

This guide attempts to describe how to implement what is commonly understood to be contemporary cultural determinants of health. It does this by focusing on six domains: connection to Country; Indigenous beliefs and knowledge; Indigenous language; family, kinship and community; cultural expression and continuity; self-determination and leadership.

These have relevance not only for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, but for all Australians interested in achieving health outcomes and linking these achievements to healthy natural environments.
