Businesses involved with the movement of hazardous waste typically interact with three core regulatory regimes: work health and safety; transport of dangerous goods; and environmental protection.

The purpose of this report is to identify and recommend opportunities to achieve greater regulatory harmonisation across regulatory regimes as well as within hazardous waste environmental regulation at the national and jurisdictional level.
