Description
Healthy civil society is critical to Australia’s wellbeing, social cohesion, prosperity and shared national progress. Australia’s Not-for-profit and charity sectors (NFP sector) are at the core of our civil society.
This Blueprint sets out a ten year vision, framework, core initiatives and implementation approach for a thriving Not-for-profit sector that supports Australia’s people, communities and environment.
The blueprint is structured around 3 pillars.
- An enabling operational and regulatory environment for the sector to thrive: addressing improvements to external conditions such as the regulatory environment, relationships with governments, resourcing and public policies; with a focus on change supported by a strong evidence base.
- A people-led and purpose-driven NFP sector: addressing improvements to the NFP sector’s internal conditions, with a focus on better outcomes through diverse representation and governance, fairer work settings and effective support for volunteers.
- An adaptive and dynamic forward-focused NFP sector: addressing the supports needed to ensure the NFP sector’s can lead and respond effectively to changes driven by digital transformations and climate transition.
