Description
Despite the critical role of innovation and high-growth entrepreneurship in driving economic growth, evidence on effective policy approaches remains limited. Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) offer a power method to identify what works, yet they are underused in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Growth (IEG) Policy. This guide explains why, when, and how to conduct RCTs in the IEG context.
It is designed for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners who want to:
- understand the principals of RCTs
- design or evaluate new programmes and policies
- assess or manage RCT proposals and projects.
No deep technical expertise is required. This guide equips users to engage confidently with experts and plan meaningful evaluations. It also includes links to more advanced resources for those seeking deeper knowledge.
