Guidance material: integrity scenarios
Five ‘integrity scenario’ guidance materials, aimed at supporting the Victorian public sector to build a pro-integrity culture and corruption resistance. The guidance materials detail fictional scenarios of corruption or misconduct, and lessons to learn from the circumstances that allowed the conduct to go unchecked.
Based on real corruption risks that can occur across the public sector, the integrity scenarios cover enduring risks including misconduct in procurement practices, misuse of data and the mismanagement of grants, along with emerging risks like the misuse of artificial intelligence and politicisation in recruitment.
Each scenario also includes key lessons and suggestions on addressing the risks that allowed the misconduct highlighted in the scenario to occur.
