This inclusive research guide educates and supports researchers on how to design, conduct, analyse and communicate research using the National Disability Data Asset (NDDA). It outlines principles and practices for conducting inclusive research using administrative data including disability-specific considerations, trauma-informed research and intersectionality.
The guide includes a resources list covering: co-design, communications, disability background and inclusive language.
The NDDA connects information about all Australians to improve outcomes for people with disability. It brings together de-identified data held by government agencies and provide insights about the needs and outcomes of people with disability that could not be seen previously. This information will help improve programs and services for people with disability.
The guide is a living document that will grow and adapt over time. The report is provided with a summary in Easy Read, Plain English, Auslan video and a webpage that contains the video transcript.
