Description

This progress report of the Better and Fairer Schools Agreements (2025–2034) outlines achievements in the first 12 months. The Australian Government has reached agreement with every state and territory to put all government schools on a path to full and fair funding. This is being delivered through the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement 2025–2034 and the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement – Full and Fair Funding 2025–2034.

At the centre of the ten-year national plan are clear targets for lifting student outcomes and strengthening the education workforce across three key areas: equity and excellence; wellbeing for student learning and engagement; and a strong and sustainable workforce for teachers. These targets set the direction for reform and provide a common framework for measuring progress. This report presents reform progress against the targets for all state and territory jurisdictions.
