Employment Internet Job vacancies New Zealand

This release measures changes in job vacancies in New Zealand advertised by businesses on the two main internet job boards – SEEK and Trade Me Jobs.


Jobs Online shows, in seasonally adjusted terms, that skilled job vacancies increased by 0.7 per cent in March, following a decrease in February. All job vacancies increased by 1.9 per cent. Over the year to March, skilled vacancies increased by 16.7 per cent, while all vacancies increased by 20.1 per cent.

In trend terms, both skilled vacancies (up 1.1%) and all vacancies (up 1.4%) increased in March. Over the past year, the trend in skilled vacancies increased by 16.5 per cent and all vacancies increased by 18.4 per cent.
