This report provides up-to-date and comprehensive data on the quality of maternal health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women from ninety-one primary care health centres across Australia. The health centres include community-controlled and government managed health services in different Australian jurisdictions.
Teams in these health centres conducted audits of pregnancy and post-natal care (4402 client records), and completed 216 system assessments, over the period 2007 – 2014.
Incorporating perspectives from a wide range of stakeholders on priority evidence-practice gaps and barriers, enablers and strategies for achieving improvement it should be useful for stimulating discussion and action.
