Digital custodianship is an area of much discussion and debate within the Australian public and private sector communities and will continue to be as the importance and relevance of digital information grows. Custodianship can be defined as the 'act of ensuring appropriate care and maintenance of information'.1 This topic paper will bring awareness to some of the current challenges facing digital custodianship and encourage open discussion within the Australian community.
