This summary report provides an overview of the Round 3 survey responses and associated research findings from the Assisting Communities through Direct Connection Project - which represents a novel approach to understanding and supporting mental health and wellbeing in Australia.

The Assisting Communities through Direct Connection (ACDC) Project is a novel approach to understanding and supporting mental health and wellbeing in Australia. This report builds off the previous Round 2 evaluation report.

This updated report presents preliminary research findings from data collected during the Assisting Communities through Direct Connection (ACDC) Project – a proactive outreach initiative that utilised doorknocking to initiate conversations about mental health across 27 Australian communities over three project rounds.

The effective marginal tax rate measures the loss due to income taxation and reduction of welfare benefit for every additional dollar of income. The simulation presented in this paper is based in Western Australia and assumes the adult individual is receiving the Disability Support Pension. The results of the simulation are presented and discussed.

This report highlights that transition to work outcomes can be improved for young people with disability when mechanisms are put in place to enhance what is usually available within schools, post-school education, and in the disability employment ecosystem.
