Built around presence, inquiry and engagement, it offers an evidence‑based, relational model to support trust, vocational identity and sustained employment, and provides a policy‑relevant framework for embedding psychological safety in disability employment practice.

This article argues that the disability employment system must move beyond rapid job placement toward psychologically safe, sustainable pathways. It highlights the role of NDIS employment counsellors, guided by the Psychologically Informed Employment Counselling Framework, in embedding trauma‑informed, neurodiversity‑affirming, rights‑based practice to address fragmentation and improve long‑term employment outcomes for people with disability.
