Identifying success factors and impacts of social and emotional well-being programmes for First Nations youth in Australia

This article describes the protocol for a culturally responsive scoping review that will map success factors and social and emotional wellbeing impacts of programmes delivered in Australia for First Nations youth aged 10–18 years. The scoping review is designed to be undertaken collaboratively with First Nations people and non-Indigenous allies.

The national child and family investment strategy


The strategy focuses on driving the shift towards earlier supports and the transition towards the Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation (ACCO) sector. The strategy shows how all governments will prioritise funding to child and family services. The goal is to support all families to provide safe and caring homes for their children.

Walking together: collaborative pathways to holistic family wellbeing


The forum brought together Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, community members, policy leaders, researchers and government representatives to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships and shape the direction of reform across the New South Wales child and family sector. It combined policy updates, lived experience, place-based practice and strategic discussion in ways that reflected the work underway.

Utilising Longitudinal Study of Indigenous Children (LSIC) data, this report provides both a descriptive overview of the housing circumstances that Indigenous children and their families live in, and the way housing-related factors can help or hinder those children growing up strong. Two of the major dimensions explored in the analyses are housing tenure and remoteness.
