Focused deterrence approaches to domestic violence have been developed in the US to increase offender accountability and ensure appropriately targeted responses to victims. This paper uses recent Australian research to explore the feasibility of adapting this model to an Australian context.

This report spans the period from March 2016 to December 2019 and describes the work of the Economic Abuse Reference Group (the EARG), and its individual members, in influencing industry and government initiatives in the acknowledgement and response to economic abuse.

The overarching aim of the Positive Interventions for Perpetrators of Adolescent violence in the home (PIPA) project was to address a gap in knowledge concerning adolescent violence in the home (AVITH) —specifically, the initial legal response that adolescents and their families receive when their use of AVITH comes to the attention of the legal system.

This is the sixth report published by the NSW Domestic Violence Death Review Team since its establishment in 2010. The culmination of two years of work, this report outlines findings from the 53 domestic violence context deaths examined by the team between 2017 and 2019.

Researchers from the SPRC and the Gendered Violence Research Network at UNSW Sydney undertook this evaluation of 1800RESPECT, the national online and telephone counselling service for people affected by domestic and family violence and sexual assault.
