Early intervention developmental programming and childhood academic outcomes
This article reports on research into the relationship between children receiving early intervention services and their later academic outcomes. The findings suggest that early intervention services for children younger than 3 years with moderate to severe developmental delays or disabilities had tangible academic benefits later in childhood.

Reflecting on its purpose, the analysis asks, for whom is it working; is its use changing; and what are the implications for national education policy objectives. It finds three in ten school leavers are now admitted to university without reference to an ATAR.
