A think tank of 25 representatives from research organisations, management agencies and industry met for a day and a half in September 2013 at Deakin University’s Warrnambool City Centre to address fisheries and climate issues.

This guide is a short introduction for decision-makers and researchers or anyone else considering whether a systematic review may be appropriate to fill a gap in knowledge or to use as a resource.

The aims of this review are to examine the literature on research-into-policy and identify recent developments in research supply, policy demand and the research–policy environment overall; review best practice research-into-policy activities in a range of policy-influencing organisations; develop a work in progress to inform the next stages of the Research–Policy Project.
