Feasibility study for the Chittick Park micro-grid project
The Chittick Park micro-grid project is a collaborative project between the community and Council, funded via a Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) grant to assess the feasibility of installing a solar unit on the Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre (SSAC).

On for young and old: kinders and senior citizens facilities
Council-owned kindergartens and senior bitizens’ buildings in the Southern Grampians Shire were assessed for thermal efficiency, water supply reliability, water tightness and energy efficiency to ensure that the Shire’s most vulnerable groups are provided with climate-adapted facilities as the climate becomes generally hotter and drier but with more occasional heavy downpours.

Sustainable building initiative
This project involved the completion of building audits of three Council owned and managed buildings to review their performance, and energy use and to identify a range of actions that could be undertaken to reduce Council expenditure on energy (electricity and gas).
