In this speech at the University of South Australia Trade Practices Workshop, the ACCC chair Graeme Samuel argues that now, more than ever, a culture of compliance with the Trade Practices Act is be an optional extra, but an essential element of doing business. The ACCC much prefers compliance over confrontation or crackdown but if business ignores this, the commission now have a much bigger stick.
