New vehicle technologies and fuels will drive the future of road transport in Australia. Increased availability of battery electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, biofuels and associated recharging and refueling infrastructure will:

• give consumers more choice
• provide productivity, emissions reduction, fuel security and air quality benefits
