This document explores the role of insurance underwriting in meeting global climate goals, supporting the transition and enabling societal change and resilience. The intention is to raise awareness among policy-makers and other decision-makers of the unique expertise of insurance underwriting, its role in achieving net-zero and potential barriers limiting the industry from maximising its role in the green transition.
