Under attack for the government's emissions policies after bruising appearances in 2021 at the G20 in Rome and the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been keen to spruik Australia's achievements in the area.
In an interview with Sunrise on Channel Seven, Mr Morrison said that Australia has "reduced our emissions by more than 20 per cent".
"There are only four countries in the G20 that have actually done better than Australia on that front," he said.
Verdict: Mr Morrison's claim is misleading.
