Australian LNG operators nominally voice support for the Paris Agreement (the 'Agreement') (or at least the Paris Agreement’s aspirations or objectives), but in fact, are investing for a world where the Agreement’s objectives are not met. With the support of many shareholders, they are making multi-billion-dollar bets that the world will not manage to decarbonise at a rate that gives us a chance of a safe climate.
