First released in December 2021, Our workforce, our future (previously known as the Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Capability Framework) provided an overview of the principles and capabilities required of the multidisciplinary and evolving workforce. It was developed in response to Recommendation 58 of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System.

This revised version includes further detail to support different roles and levels within the mental health and wellbeing workforce. It also includes outcome statements and information to support reflective practice.

Our workforce, our future will be used to inform workforce development planning, enhance professional learning delivery and support the design of multidisciplinary teams across the mental health and wellbeing sector.
