Description
South Australia's University of Adelaide is researching the social structure of Eyre Peninsula communities to determine potential impacts from oil and gas exploration in the Great Australian Bight.
It is part of a four-year, $20 million collaborative science program between oil giant BP, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) and Adelaide and Flinders Universities.
The program is looking into the Bight's environmental and economic values.
