This article describes the findings of a process evaluation assessing the implementation and effectiveness of an advocacy campaign to reduce long delays in housing approvals for people with disability. The evaluation highlights the importance of strategic advocacy, coalition-building and evidence-based messaging in driving policy change.

This report shares learnings from co-design work undertaken with people with disability and the building and design sectors, to co-design innovative models of housing that foster a user driven specialty disability accommodation market. It outlines recommendations including well-designed housing and supports that diversify the market, offer genuine choice and ultimately promote quality of life.
