Disruption in regional housing: policy responses for more resilient markets


This research examines housing trends and the processes of delivering affordable housing supply in rural and regional Australia. A clear research finding is the need for government action to ‘unfreeze’ rural and regional housing markets, making substantial investments and interventions in regional housing markets and developing stronger supply chains for rural and regional housing.

Critical factors influencing the sustainable construction capability in prefabrication of Chinese construction enterprises

Compared with the conventional cast-in-situ method, prefabricated construction (PC) is a sustainable construction method. Results of this study suggest that incentivised strategies formulated by the Chinese government would improve industry practitioners’ capability of implementing sustainable PC projects to eventually expedite the industry’s transformation towards leaner, more efficient and sustainable practice.
