Digital research infrastructure (DRI) plays a vital role in supporting inclusive and collaborative research and innovation systems across the UK and internationally. This report aims to outline the scope of the UK’s DRI, convene collective understandings of the potential for federated approaches, and make recommendations to achieve them.

This paper identifies barriers and facilitators to research participation and engagement specifically experienced by older persons and their carers. It also examines approaches to optimise the participation of older persons and carers in participatory health research, with considerations for specific population groups.

This report explores the nature and influence (positive and negative) of research assessment (broadly defined) on individuals, including career progression and cross-sector mobility. The report covers all organisations that employ researchers (public or private), all stages of the research endeavour and career, and all disciplines.

Australia has no independent body to investigate allegations of misconduct in scientific research, unlike most countries with developed research sectors. Research institutes largely investigate allegations themselves, leading to potential conflicts of interest. The authors of this paper argue that a research watchdog is needed to ensure the integrity of Australian science.
