This document presents an Urban Climate Action Impacts Framework (UCAIF or ‘the Framework’) that can be applied when exploring the wider impact of city climate action. The report functions as a user guide with common principles, taxonomy and guidelines for approaching the mapping and assessment of those wider impacts.

Examining the traffic safety of pedal cycles, electrically assisted cycles and electrically powered personal mobility devices, such as e-scooters, in an urban context, this report also proposes a framework to define micro-mobility and suggests certain limits on mass and speed to classify them.

This report presents the findings of a study conducted at the Urban Studies Lab of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), that placed Australian local government areas under the smart city microscope to evaluate their performances. The study also generates insights for understanding the reasons behind the performance differences of local government areas.

This research investigates Australian cities' strategic plans for heat reduction to maintain their liveability towards heat stress from the UHI effect.

Drawing on two case studies from the NSW Northern Coalfields, this paper considers economic value, government regulation, public perceptions, and urban development consequences, linking underground materiality with aboveground urban outcomes.
