This study explores how attitudes held by the general population, different cultural groups and people within systems and services affect people with disability from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. The study found people with disability and family members from CALD communities experienced both positive and negative attitudes. The research presents key findings and recommendations.

Impact of child maltreatment on the costs of health service use and productivity loss: findings from the Australian child maltreatment study
Child maltreatment poses a substantial health burden, but its impact on healthcare costs and productivity loss in Australia remains unclear. The objective of this study was to estimate the costs of health service use and productivity loss associated with child maltreatment in Australia. It finds that targeted investment in prevention strategies is urgently needed.

Bringing transparency to corporate charity
There are currently no disclosure standards for Australian companies’ charitable spending. This research into 20 of Australia’s largest corporations found that over half the value of their reported contributions to the community were dubious. Clear and consistent disclosure standards would help investors, consumers and the public make more informed decisions.
