The Business Case Program for Location-Specific Heavy Vehicle Charging Trials (Trials Business Case Program) is now open for proposals from industry, regional and local stakeholders (including local councils) to design potential trial proposals, where participants would pay a charge in addition to registration fees and fuel charges to receive a productivity benefit on a particular route or network.

The process of developing business cases will determine if a potential trial presents a value proposition for all stakeholders. This information will inform decisions about whether or not to progress to implementation.

Proposals will only progress to business case development if they have a strong base of industry and stakeholder support.
