State of the social sciences report: discussion paper | 2.78 MB |
The Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia has released this discussion paper to elicit societies views, ideas and concerns on the current state and capability of the social sciences in Australia and to plan for their future.
Are you a social science researcher or educator? Are you a social science graduate? Do you work in HR or recruitment and look for employees with social science skills? We are seeking to draw on the expertise, knowledge and experience from people in education, research, government and the private and community sectors to inform the final report content.
This consultation process will explore a range of key themes from how it's taught in schools, to the resources and infrastructure supporting university research, to what social science graduates bring to the workplace and economy.
The final report will describe the current state of the social sciences in Australia, but more importantly it will also chart a way forward.
