Description
The Community Conversations project is a partnership between HealthWest Partnership (lead organisation), the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY), and the Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health (MCWH).
In 2020, researchers asked twenty young people and women from migrant and refugee backgrounds in Melbourne’s west about their experiences of finding work in Australia. A series of common themes emerged from the interviews across both CMY and MCWH groups. These provide valuable insights for policy-makers and service providers seeking to improve the social and economic prospects of young people and women from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
