The report is the first in a series written for the research project Shaping blockchain technical standards consistent with Australia and India’s shared vision for an open, free, rules-based Indo-Pacific.

It presents the results and findings of the first stage of the project, providing a baseline understanding of the non-financial blockchain ecosystem in India and Australia.

The report is organised into three sections:

1. an overview of the blockchain landscape;
2. interviews with identified key stakeholders; and
3. a comparative case study.
