This report sets out the scope and structure of the pathology industry workforce and draws together a summary of the key issues, gaps and opportunities for further work to be undertaken on this issue. A series of consultations was undertaken including meetings in four states/territories and details of these are provided. Relevant reports and submissions were identified and reviewed and submissions were invited from relevant organisations and the results of these investigations are outlined in the report.
