Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander aged care framework 2025–2035
This framework contains a range of actions to improve aged care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It sets out reforms under five measurable outcomes underpinned by four guiding principles, establishing a vision for older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to age well by having their spiritual, physical and mental health needs met.

A 10-year roadmap to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, cultural strength and best practices into Australia’s mental health system. The plan provides a strategic approach to achieving the highest standard of social and emotional wellbeing, mental health and suicide prevention for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, focusing on five key themes.

The paper introduces the social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) model and provides an overview of its key features, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander selfhood, SEWB domains, determinants of health, and expressions and experiences of SEWB. It presents the challenges in effective implementation and provides recommended best practice approaches.

Veterans’ needs in aged care
There are over 4 million veterans in Australia, more than half of them aged over 65. This report synthesises available research on veterans’ needs in aged care, focusing on mental health, cognitive health, physical health, and care experiences. It identifies gaps in research and highlights the importance of trauma-informed and culturally appropriate care for veterans.

Transforming Australia: SDG progress report 2024
An independent assessment of Australia’s progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), analysing key trends and exploring the pathways needed to achieve them by 2030 and 2050. It evaluates 80 indicators covering the economy, population health and wellbeing and state of the environment. It provides eight recommendations calling for bold and coordinated action.
