This research reveals that almost three-quarters of Australians 'working from home' are doing at least some of it in non-work-time. The report calls for additional protections for people working from home, including limits on hours, overtime pay when relevant, allowances for extra home office expenses, and better OHS rules for home work.

The effect of COVID-19 on the labour market has impacted specific groups of workers more than others, including those with an ethnic minority background. This report makes eleven recommendations for government and employers, to ensure both that job quality is protected for all and that groups at particular risk are safeguarded.

Industrial relations in a post-COVID world
Industrial relations regulation in Australia is an historical anomaly. It is highly prescriptive and complex, with substantial third party involvement. The economic shocks of COVID-19, and the associated government responses, have rendered aspects of our industrial relations regulations unworkable. This paper proposes some solutions.
