The Independent Electoral Review was established in 2022 to consider how to make New Zealand's electoral system clearer, fairer and more accessible for current and future generations.

This interim report sets out the Independent Electoral Review's draft recommendations for each area of the electoral system, and provides an explanation of how the panel reached this view. There are over 100 recommendations in total.

The publication has been broken into five parts and 19 chapters, to help with the large amount of content. Each chapter deals with a different topic.
